MANGALURU: ICGS Amartya based at New Mangalore used to be excited by an overnight rescue operation to track a fishermen reported lacking from Fishing Boat Gain after Coast Guard won message from its owner round 8pm on Wednesday to this impact. The fishing boat with 16 workforce individuals on board sounded the misery through informing the landlord that one among them had fallen overboard round six nautical miles off Mangaluru coast.
DIG S S Dasila, commander, coast guard Karnataka said ICGS Amartya on routine patrol at sea used to be diverted to continue at complete velocity for the hunt and rescue of the lacking fisherman. The ship reached the placement at 11.40pm and after establishing communication with the Fishing Boat Gain, assumed extensive search of the world for lacking fisherman. They also ascertained that workforce of the boat were secure and in healthy situation.
The coast guard district headquarters three based at Panambur in the intervening time liaised with coastal safety police and fisheries department to form part of the SAR operation team as the world used to be with reference to the coast and in shallow waters. At about 12.25pm on Thursday, owner of the Fishing Boat Gain intimated to the authorities that the frame of lacking fisherman had been recovered following which ICGS Amartya used to be directed to renew space patrol.
