JD(S) leader compares BJP leaders to 'stray dogs'

BENGALURU: Taking a dig at BJP leaders, who were "expecting" the Congress-JD(S) coalition executive to fall, JD(S) chief D C Thamanna has drawn an analogy between them and the 'boulevard canines' while refuting BJP lawmaker Umesh Katti's declare that the dispensation would collapse soon.

Katti had lately claimed that 15 disgruntled MLAs of the ruling coalition were in touch with him and that the saffron party would form the new executive in Karnataka via next week.

Hitting out at Katti, Thammana stated, "J H Patel (a former chief minister) had as soon as narrated a tale within the state meeting about an elephant and boulevard canines. He recalled Patel saying an elephant used to be strolling ahead of boulevard canines who were hoping one thing would fall from atop the tusker that they'd devour.

"Neither did the meals fall, nor the canines got one thing to devour. This tale fits completely with BJP leaders, who're anticipating this executive to fall," the Karnataka Minister informed journalists on Friday at Maddur near Mysuru.


Replying to a question, Thamanna stated Katti has been predicting the federal government's fall "nowadays or tomorrow" for moderately a while.


"For the past seven months, we are listening to this on a daily basis however this has no longer materialised," he stated.


Soon after Katti's declare, state BJP chief and Leader of the Opposition B S Yeddyurappa had ruled out any try via his party to destabilise the prevailing dispensation.
