Coimbatore: A gaggle of landowners, who gave 61.82acres to the Tamil Nadu State Housing board (TNHB) 30 years ago, received Rs 43.36lakh as repayment on Saturday.
TNHB had got the lands in 1988 from various other folks to construct properties at Uppilipalayam near Singanallur. But, the state executive gave a meagre repayment.
Demanding extra, the landowners filed five circumstances earlier than the second further sub-court. The courtroom ordered TNHB to supply Rs 1crore to them.
At the lok adalat held in the Coimbatore Integrated Court Complex on Saturday, a bunch of landowners, who had filed 3 circumstances, agreed to obtain Rs 43.36lakh as repayment from TNHB. After talks between the judges, landowners and TNHB officers, TNHB agreed to give you the repayment. Principal district pass judgement on R Sakthivel issued the order.
The lok adalat was held as consistent with the National Legal Aid Services Authority’s order. As many as 3,072 circumstances, together with motor claims tribunal unique petition circumstances, cheque circumstances, civil circumstances, land acquisition circumstances, pre-litigation circumstances and petty circumstances were solved.
