BHUBANESWAR: Former Lokpal of Odisha justice Krishna Prasad Mohapatra kicked the bucket at a private hospital right here on Friday on the age of 93. He was once suffering from previous age comparable sickness and underneath treatment on the hospital all the way through previous couple of days.
His remaining ceremony was once performed at Swargadwar in Puri. Mohapatra belongs to Kalapani in Bargarh district. After completing his education at Bargarh and Sambalpur and faculty schooling at Ravenshaw University (then faculty) at Cuttack, he were given his regulation degree from Madhusudan Law College, Cuttack.
He was once working towards as lawyer ahead of becoming a member of Odisha Judicial Service in 1955. He was once the regulation secretary of the state between 1979 and 1983. Later he changed into a pass judgement on in Orissa top court from 1984 to 1990. He was once the third Lokpal of the state between 1997 and 2002. Besides, he had engaged himself in numerous activities after retirement.
He is survived by means of wife and three sons. One of his sons Prakash Chandra Mohapatra is director of Regional Spinal Injury Centre, Cuttack, and director-in-charge of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) Sambalpur.
