Orientation programme for new DSPs organized

PATNA: Inching towards corporate skilled culture, the state police headquarters, for the primary time, held an orientation programme for 81 newly-recruited deputy superintendents of police (DSPs) at the BMP-Five premises here on Friday.

Altogether 120 recruits were selected via Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). Top cops, together with DGP KS Dwivedi, ADG (CID) Vinay Kumar, ADG (law and order) Alok Raj and others met them separately.

Surprisingly, the brand new recruits come with MBBS degree holder, engineers, MBA graduates and NEET qualified youths.

The DGP advised TOI over the telephone he was satisfied that even MBBS and engineering graduates had opted for the DSP submit.

Dwivedi stated the orientation programme was organized basically to inculcate a feeling of belongingness and self-discipline so that they will have to no longer be all for any job that damages the popularity of state police.

“They will have to know the senior officers by means of face,” the DGP stated. He stated previous, newly-recruited DSPs got appointment letters and asked immediately to sign up for training at a selected centre.


“However, things have changed this time and orientation programme was held in which they have been equipped refreshment and a number of other elementary however essential details about policing sooner than joining the one-year training programme. All the 120 new recruits will likely be called to Patna sooner than sending them to the learning academy at Rajgir in Nalanda,” he stated.


Incidentally, this would be the first batch of DSPs to receive training at the newly inaugurated Rajgir training academy.


The DGP stated after one year of rigorous training, these DSPs can be posted in the box for additional training to impart them wisdom about working of police stations, SDPOs and SPs.
