PATNA: The East Central Railway (ECR) has cancelled the services of no less than four passenger trains on Sunday and rescheduled departure of half-a-dozen passenger trains the same day due to freight convoy hall work being performed on Jhajha-Barauni- Muzaffarpur path falling underneath the ECR jurisdiction.
ECR’s chief public family members officer (CPRO) Rajesh Kumar said, railways will cancel the Howrah-Mokama Passenger (53049), Mokama-Howrah Passenger (53050), Samastipur-Muzaffarpur Passenger (63215) and Muzaffarpur–Samastipur Passenger (63216) for an afternoon on Sunday.

The CPRO said railways has rescheduled the departure of Sealdah-Varanasi Express (13133) on Saturday night time, which would leave Sealdah station about 90 minutes overdue behind its agenda time. “Similarly, Hatia-Patna Junction Express (18622) would leave Hatia on Saturday night time, about 180 minutes overdue behind its agenda,” he said, adding the Bhagalpur-Lokmanya Tilak Express (12335) would leave Bhagalpur on Sunday about 60 minutes overdue.

Likewise, the Barauni-Mokama Passenger (63275) would leave Barauni about 60 minutes overdue behind its agenda time on Sunday whilst the Mokama-Barauni passenger (63274) would leave about 250 minutes behind its agenda the same day. “Jhajha-Patna passenger (63209) will also leave Jhajha about 150 minutes overdue behind its agenda on Sunday due to ongoing freight convoy hall work on Jhajha-Barauni-Muzaffarpur path,” the CPRO said.


“Railways has additionally determined to keep an eye on the movement of Dibrugarh-Delhi-Bahramputra Mail (14055) via about 60 minutes from Malda the town on Sunday, whilst railways has cancelled one pair of passenger educate Darbhanga– Samastipur passenger (55223/55224) underneath Samastipur division of the ECR from January 2 to 31 due to platform elevating work at Darbhanga station,” CPRO said.
