VARANASI: A arguable statement made via the vice-chancellor of Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, Prof. Raja Ram Yadav kicked off a row on Saturday.
A video footage went viral on social media appearing the vice-chancellor calling upon the scholars not to hesitate in killing if somebody indulged in combating.
" Agar aap Purvanchal Vishwavidyalaya ke chhatra ho to rote huye kabhi mere paas mat aanaa. Agar kisi se jhagda ho jaye to uski pitayee karke ana, agar tumhara bas chale to uska murder karke ana, baad mein hum dekh lenge (If you are a student of Purvanchal University never come to me crying. If you ever have a fight with someone, thrash him, even kill him if you can, and then come, I will handle it)," says the vice-chancellor in the video while addressing a meeting of scholars at a serve as held in a college in Ghazipur.
