VARANASI: A police constable was once killed in an attack by a group of protesters belonging to the Nishad Party near Kathwa bridge in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur district on Saturday.
The deceased, recognized as Suresh Vatsa of Karimuddinpur police station, in conjunction with SO Karimuddinpur and 4 different constables was once returning after completing their duty at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public assembly at ITI Ground.
District Justice of the Peace of Ghazipur Ok Balaji said that police have already taken eight other people into custody and raids are directly to nab the others.
The incident comes weeks after Syana station officer Subodh Kumar Singh was once killed all over mob violence in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr district.
Shortly after the incident, leader minister Yogi Adityanath introduced a compensation of Rs 50 lakh for Vatsa’s circle of relatives, executive task to the dependent, peculiar pension for his spouse and requested the DM and SP Ghazipur to make sure early arrest of the assailants.
SO Karimuddinpur and 5 different constables of his police station, together with Vatsa, had long past to ITI flooring as they had been tasked to appear after the protection preparations at PM Modi's tournament.
After the top of PM's tournament, the law enforcement officials left for Karimuddinpur police station by means of Nonahra. When their jeep reached near Kathwa bridge, they discovered supporters of the Nishad Party blocking the road and staging a demonstration.
The law enforcement officials attempted to disperse the collection because the protests had ended in a protracted queue of cars. The demonstrators, however, went on a rampage and attacked the law enforcement officials with sticks.
Vatsa was once grievously injured within the attack and the assailants fled the scene earlier than extra forces may arrive on the spot.
The law enforcement officials rushed Vatsa to the district health facility where docs declared him brought dead.
The police are seeking to identify the opposite accused with the help of registration papers and cellphones recovered from their cars.
