CHANDIGARH: “To expedite good city projects in city stunning shall be my most sensible priority,” says Manoj Kumar Parida, a 1986 batch Arunchal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre IAS officer, who joined as new the UT adviser on Wednesday.
While speaking to TOI, Parida, who held several key posts in the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi govt, stated the UT administrator V P Singh Badnore needs particular focus on certain projects, and he's going to surely complete those projects in Chandigarh.
Among those projects are expedite good city works in Chandigarh, setting up of global degree taking pictures vary in city and introduction of knowledge infrastructure hub in Chandigarh, he stated. But the UT management in the remaining two years have most effective spent round Rs 20 crore underneath good city.
Few months back, the board of administrators of Chandigarh, Smart City Limited (CSCL) had licensed detailed mission stories (DPR) of 24X7 water provide in Manimajra and bicycle sharing machine underneath the good city mission. Similarly, two different projects — built-in command keep watch over centre and improve of 5 sewage remedy plants —were licensed on September 26, but until date those projects don't seem to be started. The centre has earmarked Rs 48,000 crore for development of 100 good cities. Earlier, the new adviser used to be offered with the guard of honour at the UT Guest House, and used to be welcomed by the officers of the management.
