Property dispute cases, murders and crimes in opposition to women had long gone up, albeit marginally, in 2018 in comparison to the previous year.
According to a press unlock from the city police, about 720 cases of property disputes have been registered in comparison to 646 in 2017. Police solved 513 of the cases pertaining to property worth Rs three.39 crore.
Against 21 murders in 2017, the city witnessed 29 murders in 2018. Police cracked many of the murder cases and arrested 28 folks. “Most of the murders have been home in nature and there was no surge of organised crime or gang contention. Similarly, attempt to murder cases also greater from 18 to 26,” city Police commissioner Sumit Saran stated.
