BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha police have determined to create a pool of cyber mavens and determine a cyber laboratory-cum-training centre to effectively deal with the IT-related offences. The dedicated cyber cops will assist police in different districts to crack cybercrimes. At provide, police stations, mostly in rural spaces, lack the expertise to crack cyber offences.
“Though we now have a cyber police station each in Cuttack, Berhampur, Sambalpur and Rourkela towns, we will create a group of cyber mavens to effectively deal with cyber offences. While the police registered a complete 824 cybercrime circumstances in Odisha in 2017, they've registered 752 circumstances till November, 2018. The CB also plans to appoint an IT knowledgeable to help the officials resolve cybercrimes.
