VADODARA: Police on Friday arrested a person who tried to dupe girls by promising them gas connections underneath a government scheme.
Milan Patodiya used to be nabbed from Danteshwar space the place he used to be assembly girls to give an explanation for the free gas connection scheme. He had begun publicizing the scheme from Friday.
“Patodiya works for a gas agency which had asked him to publicize the scheme among girls. He went to some residential colonies and approached girls staying there. He defined them the scheme during which the government is giving free gas connections to women. Some girls were given satisfied,” stated H M Ramavat, Makarpura police inspector.
“Milan then began inquiring for Rs 200 from the ladies excited by applying for the scheme. Some girls paid the cash but if they asked for the receipt, he stated that they won’t get any. The girls then were given suspicious and cornered him,” Ramavat added. Police used to be known as and when Milan couldn’t give sufficient answers, he used to be arrested for dishonest.
Milan had tried to dupe about 5 girls. He, however, hasn’t cheated any individual in identical approach in the past, law enforcement officials stated.
