AMBALA: Police have filed a case in opposition to a man who allegedly threatened a woman by posing as cupboard minister Anil Vij's personal assistant.
Harpreet Kaur, the complainant, alleged that accused Chhinder had warned her of dire penalties if she did not withdraw a dishonest case she had filed in opposition to one Gagandeep and his aide Sandeep.
When Kaur met Anil Vij on Tuesday and shared with him the phone recording of the conversation with Chhinder, she came to grasp that she was being bluffed.
Harpreet has said that “I had filed a criticism in opposition to Gagandeep and Sandeep beneath phase 376, 420, and 406 of the IPC at Ambala Women Police Station. The accused was arrested by the district police. The next listening to of the case will likely be hung on January 23. On January 7, at around 11.21pm, I gained a decision on my mobile phone by which the accused identified himself as Chhinder, the PA of well being minister Anil Vij. The accused threatened me while asking to withdraw my court cases in opposition to Gagandeep and Sandeep. On January eight, after I went to minister Vij’s residence, I came to grasp that there is not any such PA to the minister.”
Ambala women police SHO Sunita Dhaka said, “The accused Gagandeep was booked beneath rape fees in 2018, but later all over our investigation, we came to grasp that he was in a live-in dating with Harpreet. Harpreet had leveled false fees of rape in opposition to Gagandeep following which we had dropped the phase 376 IPC from the case. The case of 420 and 406 IPC is beneath investigation. Harpreet and her husband have seperated and she had gained some money as a final settlement. Gagandeep came involved with Harpreet and he duped her of the cash. We are investigating the case.”
Ambala Sadar SHO Mehar Singh said, “We have registered the case in opposition to Chhinder who posed as PA to the minister. The recordings were bought and the voice can be analysed and extra lawsuits are occurring.”
