CHENNAI: Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), in association with Namma Auto Project, has launched electric autorickshaws as a feeder service from Alandur metro station on a pilot foundation.
Keeping up with its promise to scale back carbon emissions and operating a green public delivery network, CMRL inaugurated the service with 3 electric autorickshaws which will probably be operated from Alandur metro station to DLF IT Park, Porur for a flat price of Rs 10.
Metro rail officials said those autorickshaws will probably be noise-free with 0 tail pipe emission and will supply commuter with a blank and green choice to reach their locations.
