DSGMC polls to be held on January 19

JALANDHAR: Election for office-bearers and executive participants of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) will likely be hung on January 19. A letter announcing the election has been issued via DSGMC acting president Harmeet Singh Kalka and general secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa.

Outgoing DSGMC president Manjit Singh GK and all office-bearers and the manager participants passed a resolution on December 6 to hold fresh election for brand new office-bearers after which a letter was written to the director, gurdwara elections, to hold the election inside of three weeks.


However, now the DSGMC has introduced to hold the election on its own. The letter issued via Kalka and Sirsa has one-point schedule — election of the office-bearers and executive participants. GK and different office-bearers had introduced to surrender following allegations of corruption in opposition to GK.


The developments are also being noticed as turf battle between GK and Sirsa.


The latter additionally sacked GK’s confidante committee’s media adviser Parminderpal Singh a few days back.


“Nobody has resigned until now simply on the basis of allegations, however I assumed standards of non secular politics must be different. I shall not take any post within the gurudwara frame until I will be cleared of these allegations being levelled via my warring parties,” he had said.
