Farmers lock stray cows in UP government school, kids go home

KANPUR: Farmers in UP’s Kanpur district locked stray cattle in a village govt college. When lecturers and students got here to school on Monday, they were greeted by means of a herd of cows.


In Bidhnoo’s Guru Ka Purwa village in Kanpur district, round 50 cows had been locked throughout the college by means of farmers on Sunday evening as the animals had been destroying their crop.


Cattle risk is growing and as Ruby Devi, village head of Guru Ka Purwa, mentioned, “These animals are destroying our crops. Many folks have fallen unwell in the cold weather standing guard over farms. The district management has now not taken any action in the subject.”


Farmers refused to let the cows loose and make allowance the varsity to run to get the management’s attention to handle stray cattle. This was the 3rd incident reported from the area in the past few days. On December 27, cattle had replaced students in school rooms in Ghanshyampur Katra of Sachendi area in the district. The identical day, villagers also locked up stray cows in a police outpost in Bharthana area of Etawah.


Block schooling officer Sunil Dwivedi mentioned the subject has been delivered to the information of senior officials. “Such action will most effective impede studies of farmers’ kids, apart from the cattle destructive college assets. If farmers do not relent, we’ll seek police assist to clear the varsity of cattle.” He says he also sees in it “handiwork of anti-social elements with vested interests”.
