AGRA: A Mathura court on Monday convicted cult chief Ram Vriksha Yadav’s shut aid, Chandan Bose, for five years’ imprisonment for assaulting workers, including a lady, of the UP horticulture department on March 15, 2016.

The case against Bose and 46 different fans of the cult was registered when they attacked and assaulted the employees, who had long gone to harvest potatoes from Jawahar Bagh Park, which was then beneath the unlawful career of Ram Virksha and his crew. The court also imposed a fantastic of Rs 7,000 on Bose.

It could also be recalled that about two months after this incident, Jawahar Bagh witnessed a bloody conflict on June 2, 2016, when hundreds of fans of Swadhin Bharat Vidhik Viacharik Satyagrah (SBVVS) clashed with the police who had long gone to evict the encroachers. The conflict claimed 29 lives, including that of an extra superintendent of police. The case was later handed over to CBI, which is but to record a chargesheet.

Interestingly, cult chief Ram Vriksha Yadav was also named in the FIR, but his identify was dropped from the chargesheet via the native police which presumed him lifeless. His frame was, alternatively, by no means discovered and his fans declare that he is still alive.

The then state executive had granted permission to Yadav’s group to hold a demonstration inside of Jawahar Bagh Park for 2 days in January 2014. But, the crowd went directly to occupy the sprawling public park for over two years. The squatters were evicted after a high court order amid massive violence. An enormous cache of hands, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the huts erected throughout the park.
