Man assaulted over Rs 3 change in BMTC bus

BENGALURU: A BMTC bus passenger has alleged that he was assaulted through the conductor and driving force after he demanded Rs three alternate because of him on Saturday night close to Marathahalli bridge.
Mohammed Taufiq, an electrician through profession, was travelling to ITPL in the bus when the incident occurred.

HAL police mentioned they have registered a case of attack in opposition to conductor Venkatachalapati and driving force Rajesh based on a grievance filed through Taufiq.


Police mentioned Taufiq boarded the bus round 10.30pm and took price tag for ITPL. He requested the conductor to return his Rs three alternate handiest to be told that the alternate can be paid at the stop the place he alights.


But Taufiq demanded that he wanted the alternate right away, resulting in argument with the conductor. As the argument went on, driving force Rajesh stopped the bus and intervened on behalf of his colleague. The duo allegedly pushed Taufiq, who fell in opposition to on to one of the home windows and sustained damage in the brow. Taufiq rushed to HAL police station and filed a grievance in opposition to the BMTC staffers.


“We have registered a case of attack and extra probe is underway,” mentioned a police officer.
