Vadodara: A 40-year-old guy fell in Narmada canal passing from Chhani house on Thursday morning.
Arvind Patel, a labourer residing near the canal, had long past to the banks of canal to take bath. Eye-witnesses stated that Patel could not balance himself because of water and slipped into the canal. Due to gushing waters within the canal, no person dared to jump to rescue him.
Locals instantly known as the police control room and fireplace brigade to inform concerning the incident. Firemen from TP13 fireplace station searched for Patel within the downstream of the canal till night, but they may not to find him.
Fire officials stated that the search will resume on Friday morning.
Sources stated that Patel used to go to the banks of canal day by day to take bath along with others several others residing within the locality.
