AMBALA: In reference to a case of blackmailing registered at Baldev Nagar police station, the district police have arrested an accused identified as Amit Kumar, resident of Baldev Nagar who was introduced prior to the court docket, which has sent him to two-day police remand. Another accused identified as Mohan Singh, resident of Garnala village in the district was arrested earlier through the police.
On November 28, Pratap Singh, Block Development and Panchayat Officer (BDPO) of Pipli district Kurukshetra had filed a complaint with the Baldev Nagar police alleging that the accused Rajender and Mohan Singh, citizens of Garnala village, Ashwini Kumar resident of Baldev Nagar, Sonu, Anit, and Naresh citizens Baldev Nagar, Balkar, resident of village Majra, staff of the Police Vigilance and others while pressurizing him to document an Right To Information (RTI) application in opposition to him had been taking cash and they have got been blackmailing him for a long time.
