Mysuru city welcomes New Year in style

Mysuru: Mysureans welcomed the New Year with a laugh and cheerfulness as the district administration illuminated Mysuru Palace and showcased a splendid fireworks’ show which lit up the night sky.
On the New Year Eve, masses visited Mysuru Palace in the night where cultural programmes were arranged through the district administration and the police band entertained the guests.

To ring in the New Year, the palace lightings were grew to become on for almost 15 mins from 12am amid vibrant show of fireworks for almost 30 mins which mesmerized the crowd. A few revellers allotted desserts to other folks to celebrate the instance. Celebrations were also held at quite a lot of accommodations, clubs and celebration halls around the town where type displays, dance and track programmes were held until 1am.


However, at the first day of the New Year, other folks visited Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hills and Yoganarasimhaswamy Temple in Vijayanagar to provide prayers. Yoganarashimaswamy temple management allotted two lakh laddus and puliogare prasada to devotees.


Special pujas were also held at quite a lot of temples together with Sri Lakshmivenkataramanaswamy Temple at Vontikoppal, 101 Ganapathy Temple, Annapporneshwari Temple at Hebbal in the town where other folks stood in queue from morning. Special prayers were also held at church buildings.


There used to be also large rush at the palace, zoo and exhibition grounds.
