Patna: Retired IAF personnel commits suicide

PATNA: A retired Indian Air Force (IAF) technician, Shivdhyan Sharma (65), allegedly committed suicide through shooting himself within the head via chin on the terrace of Saraswati Apartment at Kidwaipuri below the Kotwali police station space overdue on Tuesday.


The topic came to the light on Wednesday morning when his body used to be spotted through some citizens. DSP (legislation & order) Rakesh Kumar mentioned Sharma had retired as wireless technician from the IAF and used to be living along with his daughter-in-law Rashmi Sharma (30) at flat number 105 of the condominium.


“He used his private revolver to devote suicide. The firearm used to be also recovered from the spot,” he mentioned, adding all circumstantial evidences indicated no foul play behind the incident.


Kumar mentioned police went through the CCTV camera pictures of the condominium in which he used to be spotted going upstairs on my own at around 1.22am on Wednesday. “Till now, family dispute has surfaced because the top reason why behind the suicide. However, police have detained Rashmi for interrogation,” he mentioned.


The DSP mentioned that the deceased’s spouse had died a number of years ago and his son Arun Prakash Sharma works with a non-public firm in Bengaluru.
