NOIDA: A 25-year-old engineer was once robbed of Rs 28,000 cash at gunpoint close to City Centre metro station on Friday evening.
The engineer, Rishabh Mandal, is a resident of Delhi’s Pandav Nagar space. In a criticism filed with the Sector 24 police, Mandal stated that he had visited Ghaziabad on Friday night. While returning, when he reached Noida City Centre metro station round 9pm, an individual came working towards Mandal and knowledgeable him that his sister had met with an coincidence and he wanted lend a hand. Believing the individual, Mandal determined to accompany him to lend a hand the sufferer.
However, the individual took him to a abandoned location, where 3 more men surrounded him at gunpoint.
“They held me at gunpoint and snatched my debit card, cell phone and wrist watch. I did not have the funds for in my checking account. So, they pressured me to touch my family members and asked them to deposit Rs 30,000 in my account. The criminals then took me to an ATM and withdrew Rs 28,000 and fled,” stated Mandal.
Mithlesh Upadhaya, SHO of Sector 24 police station, stated a case of theft has been registered in opposition to the four accused.
