RAJKOT: Three individuals of a Dalit circle of relatives tried to devote suicide in Junagadh city alleging inactiveness of the police within the criticism of atrocity lodged in opposition to them.
Vijaya Miyantra, her son Chetan and nephew Harshit reached Kalva Chowk and ate up acid near the Ambedkar statute. They were rushed to civil sanatorium and are out of risk. Police stated Vijaya’s husband Gunvant had lodged a plaint under the Atrocities Act in opposition to some individuals in Manavadar once they hurled casteist abuses and vandalized his two-wheeler.
Junagadh SP Saurabh Singh instructed TOI, “Our investigation discovered no proof in opposition to the accused. They are seeking to pressurize the police to arrest those named within the FIR.”
