COIMBATORE: To break out from the clutches of her 42-year-old stepfather, who had been sexually abusing her for months, a 15-year-old woman in conjunction with her eight-year-old sister ran away from their home at Narasimmanaikenpalayam, reached the town and contacted Childline officers. Thanks to intervention of the officers, the sisters at the moment are in a home functioning beneath the kid welfare committee (CWC).
Police have arrested the abuser, known as S Muthuraj, a resident of Karunanithi Nagar at Saibaba Kovil. “The victim had been residing in conjunction with her mom, more youthful sister and Muthuraj at Narasimmanaikenpalayam after her father died a few years in the past. The accused had began to sexually harass her within months,” a police officer said.

He was remanded in judicial custody and lodged within the Coimbatore Central Prison.
