Bengal denies Munda a rally in Bankura

Ranchi: Former leader minister and senior BJP chief Arjun Munda used to be pressured to abort his trip to Bankura in West Bengal midway on Wednesday after the Mamata Banerjee government allegedly refused to allow him to carry a scheduled rally in Vishnupur in Bankura.

The building comes after the choppers of BJP nationwide president Amit Shah and UP leader minister Yogi Adityanath were not allowed to land in West Bengal. Yogi on Tuesday landed in Jharkhand and travelled to Purulia by street to deal with a rally.


Munda too took the road to Bankura, however returned to Jamshedpur within the afternoon through the bordering Bandwan-Katin area. He stated: “The method BJP leaders are being targeted by Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal is absolute hooliganism and use of muscle energy. As a political celebration in a democracy, rallies are one of the crucial techniques of connecting with other folks. It is extremely unfortunate that in Bengal, democracy is being murdered every day.”


The three-time former CM stated BJP is organizing a series of programmes and rallies across the country to connect with the hundreds ahead of the Lok Sabha polls and celebration leaders are travelling to different parts of the country with none issues. The handiest exception is Bengal, he stated.


“I've been to many puts lately however never confronted any drawback. I'm going to Orissa in subsequent couple of days, Maharashtra thereafter and so on. But the way in which Mamata Banerjee is hell-bent on stopping our leaders obviously exposes her insecurities and nervousness. The more she tries to forestall us, the harder we will fight,” he stated. Munda refused to remark at the ongoing controversy surrounding Sharada chit fund rip-off probe and stated the law will takes its own route.
