Thiruvananthapuram: The 10th version of national dance and song festival titled ‘Bharat fest’ will start at Theerthapada Mandapam, East Fort, on Friday. The three-day festival will characteristic efficiency of talents from various places, together with Russia.
In order to commemorate 100th 12 months of Chinthavishtayaya Seetha by way of poet Kumaranaasan, dancer Gayathri Subramanian will perform Keralanadanam in line with the poem at 6.30pm on Saturday.
The fest will start with the Carnatic song of Anchal Krishna Iyer at 5.15pm on Friday. Mangalore-based artist Srividya Muralidhar will perform Bharathanatyam. Odissi efficiency of Mumbai-based artist Sabitha Misra and Carnatic song of Poovarany Okay V P Namboothiri might be staged on Friday.
Russian dance by way of a bunch of artists from Moscow will be the highlight of the second day. The artists from Russia may also perform Odissi after the closing ceremony at 7 pm on Sunday. Vitalina Lobach and workforce from Moscow will perform Odissi. Kadhak by way of Kolkata-based artist Kusal Bhattacharya and violin fusion by way of Kaipattur Radhakrishan are the highlights of the concluding day.
