AHMEDABAD: A biker fled after a truck ran over the woman who was once driving pillion, on Iskon flyover within the early hours of Saturday. Traffic police officials stated that consistent with eyewitnesses, the truck was once headed in opposition to Mehsana.
“At about 1.45am the truck rammed into the motorbike. The girl, who's yet to be known, fell from the motorbike and was once run over by way of the truck,” stated inspector A R Rana of traffic SG-2 police station. “She died on the spot and the man sped away.”
The driver of the truck also fled from the spot. “We detained a minor boy who was once within the truck,” Rana stated. “We are gathering CCTV photos to identify the biker.”
Rana stated that police found an Aadhaar card on the girl which has been issued in Karnataka. “The image within the card could now not be matched as the face of the woman is mutilated,” a senior police reliable stated.
Traffic police officials stated they have got registered a case under sections of inflicting death with out goal against the motive force of the truck and feature dispatched a group to arrest him according to the guidelines given by way of the minor.
