Cash-strapped trader found hanging in city

Ranchi: A 45-year-old dealer, Subir Rai, used to be discovered hanging from the ceiling of his area in Doranda on Thursday morning. Rai and his family used to be living at a rented area in New Gandhi Nagar Colony. Police mentioned Rai’s elder son become suspicious after his father did not open the door of his room in he morning regardless of repeated knocks. The family broke open the door around 7.30am and found him hanging from the ceiling.

Rai’s neighbours and his family mentioned he used to be reeling from financial crisis for the ultimate several months. “My father used to be below mental stress for some time after his trade took a success. He wasn’t taking his meals on time for the past few days,” Rai’s son mentioned.


Police mentioned Rai used to be the sole earning member of his family and is survived by means of two sons and wife. “The deceased used to be operating a nursery in Tupudana which used to be incurring huge losses. Rai borrowed around Rs 1.5 lakh from a private lender and used to be not able to repay it. This would possibly have led to him mental stress and induced him to take the intense step,” officer in-charge of Doranda police station Arun Kumar Singh mentioned, including, “We haven’t discovered any suicide note. The body has been despatched to Rims or post-mortem.”
