CHANDIGARH: The 18.6mm rain that lashed town on Thursday submerged maximum of its roads, washing away the tall claims of the municipal company of cleaning stormwater drainage gadget.

Around 2.50pm, a rescue workforce arrived at the spot with a restoration van and the two stranded automobiles had been pulled out.


In Industrial Area Phase-I, a car was once completely submerged at the railway underpass. Fire brigade men pulled it out.
