NAGPUR: A Congress corporator has been booked for allegedly filing a pretend caste certificate within the lately concluded Mahadula panchayat elections.
Mousin Hussain Sheikh (32) was elected from ward no. 7 in Mahadula panchayat elections. Sheikh, a resident of Noor Nagar, allegedly made a pretend certificate showing his caste as Pinjara which comes under Other Back Class (OBC). On Wednesday, Koradi police produced Sheikh earlier than the court and procured his PCR until February 9.
A case has been registered through Tehsil police following a complaint through nagar panchayat legitimate Sandip Chidrawar, who was the assistant returning officer for the elections.
District Congress president Rajendra Mulak stated, “We asked candidates to publish their documents if they are for party price tag after which took their interviews.
