BJP Youth wing demands temple in AMU campus

AGRA: A day after UP CM Yogi Adityanath targeted the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) for now not giving quota in admission to SC/ST students, BJP Youth wing wrote a letter to Vice Chancellor on Thursday to offer a land for the construction of “temple” throughout the campus to put in force its secular character.

Talking to media, Lodhi said that this was earlier demanded by means of students in AMU, but VC has now not finished anything else and it seems that taken it lightly. He said, “If the construction of temple is not finished in 15 days, we would do so by means of February 24”.

In a letter to the Vice Chancellor of the varsity, President of BJP Youth wing, Mukesh Singh Lodhi, said that Hindu group students have to face issues in appearing puja due to non availability of temple throughout the campus.

“Considering the emotions of Hindu group students and Prime Minister’s mantra of ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’ (Collective efforts, inclusive enlargement), you should approve the proposal for land for the construction of the temple,” said Lodhi, including that this may occasionally set an example for Hindu-Muslim team spirit.

Earlier, in December ultimate 12 months, Ajay Singh, a LLM pupil at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and grandson of Aligarh BJP MLA Dalveer Singh, had demanded development of a Saraswati temple throughout the college campus.
