PANAJI: The anti-corruption department (ACB) of the vigilance department has booked 4 individuals of the St Cruz village panchayat, including its former sarpanch, for allegedly tough a bribe Rs 25,000 in keeping with flat from a builder to factor a construction licence.

He further said that Araujo then approached him in his place of work at Panaji in October 2017. “By taking undue benefit of his reliable place as sarpanch, he demanded a bribe of Rs 25,000 in keeping with flat within the proposed building. I had refused to pay the bribe and due to this fact our application for a construction licence has now not been decided upon till date,” the builder stated.
