PIMPRI CHINCHWAD: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has despatched a letter to Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML), directing it to stop erection of advertisement hoardings at BRTS stations in Pimpri Chinchwad fearing a repeat of the incident close to Pune railway station in October closing year when a 40-foot hoarding metal frame collapsed on cars.
Vijay Bhojane, spokesperson, BRTS cell, informed IdealNews that the civic frame had despatched 3 letters to the shipping frame in this regard.
Giving main points, Bhojane stated, "PCMC is developing four BRTS routes in the municipal limits. PMPML has started erecting hoardings at bus stations near Aundh hospital, Rakshak chowk and Sangvi phata on Sangvi-Kiwale BRTS Road, and bus stations at Shivar chowk as well as Wakad phata on Nashik Phata-Wakad BRTS Road."
The reliable added, "These advertisement hoardings are not structurally stable and therefore we had sent letters on January 11 and reminder letters on February 8 and 11, directing PMPML to stop the work."
