Allahabad: Acharya mahamandleshwar of Kinnar Akhara Laxmi Narayan Tripathi has written a letter to state chief minister Yogi Adityanath in quest of Rs 5 crore for the expansion and development of ashram for Kinnar Akhara in Allahabad.
Camping at sector 2 on Mela campus, Tripathi said “Kinnar akhara has drafted its expansion plan and sought state govt’s assistance in the same regard.” She further added: “state govt had previous sanctioned sufficient price range to other akharas prior to Kumbh and we would be able to serve other folks of all communities if state govt helps our call for and proposal.
She also claimed that following the formation of Kinnar Akhara, the Kinnar neighborhood is returning again to the mainstream of the society this Kumbh.
