THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: To increase its distribution networks, the water sources division has decided to put in force bulk water supply scheme. Under the type, local self-government our bodies will likely be given duty of operation and maintenance of tasks commissioned by the Kerala Water Authority (KWA).

The KWA spends Rs 23 crore monthly on cost to the KSEB, which accounts to greater than part its per month income of Rs 45 crore,” Kowsigan said. To scale back energy fees, the dept will set up sun vegetation in land belonging to the KWA and the irrigation division.
