Martyred jawan's wife: Wipe off militancy

GUWAHATI: Wife of CRPF head constable Maneswar Basumatari, who used to be martyred in conjunction with 40 other CRPF staff in an assault by means of JeM at Pulwama in Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday, has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to punish the terrorists accountable and wipe off militancy.

Facing an uncertain lifestyles nowadays after the loss of her husband, who used to be the only bread earner of the circle of relatives, Sanmati Basumatari mentioned, "We have lost everything. I pray to Modi ji to ensure that the militants are punished…also finish terrorism."


Basumatari, who hails from Kalbari village in Assam’s Baksa district neighbouirng Bhutan border, joined CRPF in 1994. He belonged to 98th battalion of CRPF and but even so his wife, he is survived by means of a son and daughter, both of whom are learning in college.


Another jawan from Bongaigaon, Pabitra Barman, who used to be additionally in the convoy, has survived with minor injuries.


Assam leader minister Sarbananda Sonowal has condemned the incident and tweeted, “Strongly condemn the cowardly assault on #CRPF jawans in #Pulwama Terror has no place in India and we will have to in combination battle this menace as a country. My middle is going out to the martyrs who've sacrificed their lives as of late. Deepest condolences”.
