Three die in accident in Bithoor

KANPUR: Tension prevailed in Naramau locality of Bithoor space of the city after three youths had been killed and two others suffered essential accidents on late Wednesday evening in a road mishap, sparking violent protest by way of villagers who indulged in heavy brick-batting.

The five youths had been on their way back house on two separate bikes after they fell on the road after their cars collided. They had been later run over by way of a speeding car. One died at the spot and two others succumbed in health facility.

The police known the deceased as Deepak (22), Shiva (19) and Mahendra Katheria (25).

“Deepak died on the spot while Shiva on late Wednesday evening and Mahendra succumbed all through remedy at the health facility early on Thursday. Deepak was once using with Shiva and Manoj Savita while Mahendra was once using with Rajat on separate cars. Their cars collided near Naramau village in Bithoor. Manoj and Rajat are undergoing remedy at the health facility,” stated SP West Sanjiv Suman.

Agitated over the incident, villagers positioned the frame of Shiva on GT Road and indulged in heavy brick-batting, following which several passing cars had been broken. The car motive force was once later taken into custody.

Senior police officials along with heavy police drive and a hearth soft rushed to the web site and pacified the agitators.


A senior police officer stated that they have got registered an offence against the car motive force below related sections of the Indian Penal Code, and sections of the Motor Vehicles Act.


Bodies of the deceased had been passed over to the family members on Thursday, the police stated including, a heavy deployment of police and PAC workforce was once made to steer clear of any trouble in the space.


The rraffic, which came to grinding halt, was once resumed after just about 4 hours.
