MOHALI: Police have initiated an inquiry towards a head constable who, in a video that went viral on the social media, may also be noticed below the affect of liquor and being thrashed via a girl.
"Disciplinary action will be taken against the head constable," mentioned Kharar city station space officer inspector Bhagwant Singh.
"In the video, a woman is seen thrashing the head constable, Mohan Lal. He is posted at Kharar city police station," the cop mentioned.
Police mentioned the girl, who in the video known herself as Jainy, along side the top constable consumed liquor at some place. Later, they rammed the auto into Jainy's space. "The girl was using the auto and rammed it into a wall. Meanwhile, locals gathered, and girl began thrashing head constable. Recently, Mohali senior superintendent of police (SSP) Kuldeep Singh Chahal issued a mandate, making station space officers (SHO's) responsible if any police officer is located inebriated at their respective police stations.
SSP has also issued alcometers to big police officers so that they may be able to check junior law enforcement officials inside of police stations and manning check posts.
Inspector Bhagwant Singh, mentioned, "A departmental inquiry has been initiated. Further action will likely be taken as according to the SSP's orders."
