LUCKNOW: Celebrations began across the city once other people got here to grasp in regards to the air strike on a fear camp in Pakistan and hailed it as 'Surgical Strike 2.zero' to avenge Pulwama terror attack.
High on 'josh', waving the tricolour and drenched in patriotism, Lucknowites chanted slogans ' Desh ki sena ladai lado, hum tumhare sath hain' and ' Hindustan Zindabad' and disbursed sweets.
People from all walks of life joined the revelry as they had a good time over the robust motion taken by the forces and the killing of over 300 terrorists in a single move. Some youths went round on motorcycles protecting the tricolour.
An area band of six young boys, referred to as 'League of Citizens' presented an impromptu particular performance at GPO and sang ' Sabse aage honge Hindustani' to salute the armed forces attracting crowds while many people joined them in the performance.
Avnish Mishra, a member of the crowd said, "The entire nation is thankful to the Indian Army. Today, we have paid the real tribute to the martyrs through the IAF strike."
Youth Congress members also joined the revelry and hailed the air strike by sporting a 100 metre nationwide flag across the city. "Taking out the rally with this 100 m Indian flag is our little tribute to the Indian armed forces. We salute them. Pakistan must know that no matter how much it tries, it can never compete with us," said Youth Congress member Shailendra Kumar Tiwari.
BJP Yuva Morcha members also burst firecrackers on streets and lit lamps at GPO.
The celebrations persisted till late in the night time with many voters hoisting the tricolour on their homes.
