VADODARA: The anti-corruption bureau (ACB) arrested a talati of Bhamaiya gram panchayat in Godhra on Thursday for containing disproportionate property value Rs 51.7 lakh.


Shabanabanu Sheikh, a category III govt employee, was once booked after a four-year-long investigation was once performed in opposition to her. “We checked her source of revenue sources and on the foundation of which we calculated her bills. However, the accused holds more homes than her source of revenue which establishes the truth that she has disproportionate property,” mentioned an ACB official.


A case underneath Prevention of Corruption Act was once registered in opposition to Sheikh at Panchmahal ACB police station. Different teams of the ACB are undertaking searches at Sheikh’s house in Godhra the city and her other bank accounts.
