Udupi SSLC student ends life fearing exams

Mangaluru/Udupi: Police who had been investigating the suicide of a youngster at Pre-Metric Boys’ Hostel in Kooradi, Brahmavara Taluk, Udupi district, have concluded that the scholar ended his existence as he was once anxious about taking the SSLC examinations.

Meanwhile, in the same hostel, run via the social welfare division, any other pupil and inmate, Mahesh, 17, a resident of Vijayapura, had gone lacking and was once discovered at Barkur railway station on Saturday evening, in line with police.


The case of the lacking pupil and the suicide came about on Thursday in Udupi district, which tops in SSLC examination results in the state. Victim Mallesh,17, a resident of Koppal, hanged himself as he was once scared to face the approaching SSLC examinations, stated sources.


According to sources, Mallesh and Mahesh had planned to surrender studies as they couldn’t cope with it. They had decided run clear of the hostel. In order to get out of the hostel, victim Mallesh made an excuse that he was once no longer well and had to move to a close-by chemist to fetch drugs. However, the warden despatched any other inmate instead of Mallesh. The victim was once dissatisfied over this, as there was once no chance for him to get out of the hostel. He later hanged himself from a tree, which is close to the hostel, on Thursday night.


Raghavendra C, sub-inspector, Brahmavara police station, stated Mahesh was once discovered close to Barkur railway station on Saturday. After working clear of the hostel, he went to Hubbali, and roamed there for a few days, after which he returned to Udupi. “As per the prison process, we've referred to as Mahesh’s oldsters. We will act after he makes his remark,” stated Raghavendra, including that Mahesh has expressed that he is no longer considering lecturers.
