Woman accuses live-in partner, his kin of poisoning her

Surat: A 23-year-old woman has accused her live-in spouse and his circle of relatives, comprising his mother and two brothers, of feeding her ‘poison-laced milk’ to urge abortion of her two-month-old foetus. She has also accused them of bodily torture.

In her complaint to the Pandesera police, the girl alleged that she was once given milk mixed with some toxic substance, leading to finishing her two-month-old pregnancy with an caused abortion. She also claims that she wondered his kinfolk about their goal to drive her into abortion on January 23, but they got very offended at this and even started abusing her verbally as well as physically. They even beat up the girl’s mother when she attempted to rescue her. Thereafter, mother-daughter duo approached the police the similar night to check in a complaint. However, the Pandesara police registered her complaint only on February 12 after she was once made to relate her ordeal once more.

The complainant advised police that she had separated from her first husband round two-and-half years in the past. After separation, she entered into a live-in dating with Kamal Prajapati of Vadod village. While the girl works in the packaging department of a textile business, Prajapati works as a labourer in textile market.

Police advised IdealNews that the victim doubts she was once fed ‘one thing’ mixed with milk that resulted in an abortion. “We gets her medical tests accomplished so that the reality in the back of the abortion, which came about a month in the past, is established. Our investigation is on,” police officers added.
