Coimbatore: Food protection officials seized 120kg banned gutka products from a bus close to Pappanaickenpalayam in the city on Friday morning.
A group head via food protection officer (FSO) Vijayalalithambigai seized the products. “During our common inspection, we noticed some sacks atop a private bus, which grew to become out to be containing the banned products,” an official involved in the inspection said.
Preliminary inquiry published that the bus driver used to be smuggling the products from Bengaluru to Coimbatore. The officials also seized the automobile.
