Ambala police solve seven snatching cases, two held

AMBALA: With the arrest of 2 Mohali-based snatchers, a workforce of crime investigation agency-I of the district police has controlled to resolve seven instances of snatching.

The accused have been actively snatching gold chains, handbags, cell phones and other things from the citizens since December last yr. The in-charge of CIA-I workforce said that the accused have been drug-addicts and used to commit crime to satiate their dependancy for heroin.


The arrested accused were known as Sandeep, alias Bhola, a resident of Wazirabad village in Mohali and Daljit, alias Billa, a resident of Devi Nagar village in Mohali.


After of entirety of fourday police remand, the accused have been presented prior to a court docket, which sent them to judicial custody.


As consistent with the tips, earlier those accused have been presented in a court docket on March 23 in connection with a case of snatching dedicated by means of them on January 17.


“With the arrests of those two accused, we've solved seven instances of snatching. The accused used to commit crime to serve their wishes of drugs,” CIA-1 in-charge inspector Sandeep Kumar.
