Another accident in two days at Gaimukh, public anger brews

THANE: As many as four trucks have toppled at the sharp turn near Gaimukh in the past two days making the location grim for motorists, who use the stretch ceaselessly.
On Sunday morning, every other truck toppled at the same turn and no person was once reported injured in the twist of fate. This truck was once transporting coiled wires.

An afternoon prior to a container grew to become turtle at the stretch whilst on Friday, a cleaner died after a milk tanker he was once in flipped to 1 aspect after its driver implemented brakes to steer clear of collision.

Prakash Patil, traffic police inspector, showed that nearly four trucks toppled at one spot and the 5th one just a little ahead at the same stretch in the remaining two days.


On the opposite hand, motorists are livid and blaming the government for no longer doing sufficient for their safety.


Sushila Vishwanath, a day by day commuter, mentioned, “I wonder what the more than one companies are waiting for. Almost everyday, I witness some or the opposite twist of fate at the same spot, but the government appear to be turning a blind eye. They are more than likely waiting for larger casualties to happen after which will paintings on fixing the problem.”


Another commuter Suhas Chaudhary, mentioned, “I latterly read that the contractor is making plans to install road rumblers and blinkers to alert motorists concerning the sharp turn. I wonder what were they doing for so long. Will those lend a hand in reducing the injuries or are those being put in simply to turn that they're doing one thing?”
