Bengalureans protest against elevated corridor

Several hundred city people — kids, youngsters, adults, the aged or even pets — amassed on the Gandhi Statue at Sheshadri Road on Saturday morning to protest the federal government’s 100-km increased road community. Chanting “Beda, beda, concrete beda”, Bengalureans protested the increased hall that is slated to flatten 120 trees in Cubbon Park, amongst many others within the city.

Responding to the protests, Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy tweeted, “One of the biggest hurdles in Bengaluru’s growth is site visitors congestion. The #elevatedcorridor undertaking is the approach to this.Some citizengroups r protesting agnst the undertaking. My request to all is to return to me&carry their concerns.I can pay attention with an open thoughts to ur comments (sic).”
