CCTV footage of exam centre missing, HC told

CHANDIGARH: Hearing a petition of a Class XII pupil, who was once denied entry in the exam hall at St Xavier Senior Secondary School, Bathinda, for allegedly arriving past due for English exam on March 2, the Punjab and Haryana high court has been informed by way of the college control that the footage of CCTV cameras put in at the hall gate is lacking for the an important period between nine.27am and 10.26am.

The HC has now directed the government of the exam centre to document an in depth answer at the issue by way of April 11.

In his petition, Deepanshu Bansal of Mansa had alleged that he had reached the hall gate at 10.03am, however he was once not allowed to appear in the exam by way of the principal-cum-centre superintendent of the college, which was once affiliated with CBSE.


On March 20, the HC had asked the college control to produce the CCTV footage of that day.


When the matter got here up for listening to on Wednesday, the footage of CCTV cameras put in at the gate-4 of the exam centre was once produced by way of the college control. On exam of the footage, it was once found that the footage of the an important period from nine.47am to 10.26am was once lacking.


According to the petitioner, he had reached gate quantity 4 of exam centre at 10am sharp, however he was once instructed by way of safety males to visit gate no 1 of the exam centre, which is why he got not on time by way of 2.30 mins in reaching gate no 1, the place he was once refused entry as a result of being past due.
