PATNA: A day after the discharge of Swachh Survekshan 2019 document during which Patna used to be ranked a lowly 318th, city municipal commissioner Anupam Kumar Suman on Thursday stated parameters set to rank the towns according to cleanliness are not designed as in keeping with the social, cultural and financial facets of various cities.

Patna scored zero in certification category underneath which points have been awarded to towns which supplied open defecation free (ODF) and garbage-free certificates. “Several wards in the city are still not ODF. Hence, lets not ranking well on this category,” Suman stated.
The civic body scored a lowly 278 in the ‘carrier level development’ category, which contains verification of knowledge submitted by urban local our bodies on the online portal of MoHUA. Sources in civic body stated though several initiatives have been taken by the PMC to enhance sanitation and cleanliness, the similar paperwork were not uploaded on the site.
PMC scored 748 marks in ‘direct commentary’ category. The assessment underneath this category is completed by the survey agency according to choice of group bathrooms, maintenance of deliberate settlement and general control of waste era.
