Cong fields Supriya Srinet, withdraws Tanushree name

Gorakhpur: Hours after pointing out Tanushree Tripathi’s name as celebration candidate from Maharajganj constituency for the approaching Lok Sabha elections, the Congress withdrew her name and fielded journalist Supriya Singh Srinet’s from the seat.
Notably, Tanushree, the daughter of jailed baby-kisser Amarmani Tripathi has also been fielded via Shivpal Yadav’s newly formed — Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) from the similar parliamentary seat.

The BJP, however, has given the price tag to the five-time MP from Maharajganj Pankaj Chowdhary. The district was formed in 1989.

When IdealNews contacted Tanushree, the sister of Nautanwa independent MLA, Amanmani Tripathi who was booked for his wife’s murder, she mentioned: “Both the Congress and the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) declared my name without taking my consent. I will contest from Maharajganj seat, even supposing from which celebration is yet unclear. I would possibly contest as an independent too. Whatever the case be, but I will repeat a 2017 and register a win with a huge margin.”

Notably, Supriya Srinet is a senior journalist and daughter of Harshvardhan Singh who gained Maharajganj seat in 1989 from Janata Dal and in 2009 from the Congress.

When the Maharajganj district president of Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party, Suraj Yadav was asked to remark at the factor, he mentioned, “ I am not the right particular person to respond to this query, top leadership must be asked this query.”
